Yes, the city may have enough steamboat restaurant mushroomed all over the Klang Valley. But some are still noteworthy to be mention.On a first glance of this steamboat joint, the eatery may not come with a lavish interior decoration, however, the steamboat here does live up to its authenthicity. The specialty is not on the ingredients, however, its the sauce that matters.
For every steamboat set, it will comes with a bowl of sauce which they called it in chinese "Sa Cha Jian". （沙茶醬） This brown color sauce is a mix of bean, dried shrimp, tea, and other seasonings. The paste is imported from Taiwan, as the owner told.
This brown color sauce is indeed a unique blend of paste that no other steamboat restaurants have. Also available with the paste, you are welcomed to blend it with varieties of ingredients that serve at one corner. That is Minced Garlic, dried chilis, pasley, spring onions, salt, vinegar, soy sauce and pepper. You can blend the ingredients up to your delight.
It is certainly tasteful when I dip every ingredient into the paste. Even after the dinner has ended. The strong scent of the sauce still lingers in my mouth which makes me addicted and want more of it.
The steamboat sets is rather traditional, they have sets come with beef, pork, lamb and seafood. the sets also comes with a variety of ingredients like fishball, meatball, shrimps, clams, vegetables, vercimillie egg and etc. All the portion are for 1 servings which is meant to be mini steamboat.
The price for each set is about RM18.00. Side orders are also available from RM4.00 to RM10.00 per plate.The enviroment is cozy and quiet which gives you a goodplace to hangout after the heavy dinner. As the eatery is still a less well-known place, noises and crowds which normally appears in the traditional Chinese Restaurant are least expected here. If you are looking for a some place secluded which allows you to hang around and chit-chat with no hustling from the owner...then this might be a good place for you.
